Mina Stone
Chef Mina Stone has been cooking delicious lunches at Urs Fischer’s Brooklyn-based art studio for the past five years and producing private gallery dinners in the New York art world since 2006. Her renown in the art world is entirely fitting: As a former clothing designer, Mina believes strongly that a plate should look as good as it tastes. Her new book, Cooking for Artists (available here!) is a collection of some of her most popular, and best-looking, family-style recipes and—with artistic contributions from such friends as Hope Atherton, Alex Eagleton, Rob Pruitt, and Cassandra MacLeod—a beautiful addition to a bookshelf whether you cook, or prefer to have someone cook for you.
What is your greatest extravagance? Fancy natural product splurges. What fault in others do you tend to tolerate most? Impatience. New York or LA? New York. I’m upset you even asked. If not yourself, who would you be? Susan Sarandon, Cher, or Michelle Pfeiffer.
Mina finishes the C+L Questionnaire over at our blog. Read on…
