Setting the Holiday Table with Francesca Grossman
Join us at the shop, located at 28 Lincoln Street in Newton Highlands, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, November 22nd for our second Floral Pop Up with Francesca Grossman. Francesca will be offering floral arrangements for your Thanksgiving Holiday table. Arrangements are available in two sizes priced at $75 and $100.
We asked Francesca to set her perfect Holiday Table and we couldn't be more excited by her selection. From handcrafted wine glasses made for a candlelit table to one-of-a-kind stoneware vases (perfect for her arrangements), we hope that you can gather a little inspiration for your table this year. I love the Emberken Bell Vase and Meeting Vase specifically because they are the perfect combination of playful and sophisticated. It's nice to have color in vases- so often they are clear or white, which, while nice for showing off the colors of the flowers, doesn't always give the blooms enough credit. Flowers are great on their own, but they are even better when they have something to play off of, or to contrast. The bright blue in the Bell Vase would be stunning with Yellow Black-Eyed Susans or deep Red Roses.
The yellow in the Meeting Vase would offset a bunch of Sweet Peas in light pink or a few tall White Lilies.
Everything looks better in candlelight- even flowers! The Dusen Dusen Taper Candles are the perfect company for the vases teeming with flowers. I love how tall they are, and how they pop out against a more demure cloth and setting. It's fun but also romantic, and gives the flowers that golden glow that we are all itching for in late Fall.
Though I'm a more is more kind of gal, I love the quiet movement in the SIN Wyn Candelabra in White. It's a great base for the more colorful candles, and it has the added bonus of different heights so that the table has depth as well as beauty.
